About Me
My name is Pam. I am currently 23 years old as of writing this. I graduated from Virginia Tech three years ago with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Currently, I am unemployed. My last job left me disillusioned with working and I am currently trying to find a job that I would enjoy. This is no easy task. Although I have a Computer Science degree I do not feel that my skills are at a level that I would consider them degree-worthy. Thus, I believe that I am underqualified for many jobs in the field of Computer Science. I am hoping to find a job that is willing to work with me and be understanding of what I may lack because I am willing to learn. In the meantime, I desire to better my skills.
I enjoy using computers and surfing the Internet. I learn to use new computer programs quickly. I know how to construct a computer from basic parts. As you can see I also have some basic HTML and CSS skills. I know how to do some basic computer image manipulation. I also am somewhat knowledgeable in C++. I enjoy reading and posting on forums.
Currently I spend a lot of time playing the MMORPG World of Warcraft. I have eight level 70 characters. I enjoy completing quests, leveling, gaining reputation, and collecting profession schemata. I am a member of a guild comprised of real life friends. Some members of our guild, myself included, have a partnership with a 25-man raiding guild and we raid Tier 5/6 content.
I enjoy watching anime and reading manga. I'm currently watching Bleach and Naruto after they air in Japan and have been fansubbed.
My favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I enjoy fantasy stories.
I used to read books a lot but I have not done a lot of reading recently.
I recently got a young puppy and she has been a bundle of joy. I love dogs.
I adore birds; they are my favorite animal. I think they are beautiful and adorable.
I am a Roman Catholic. I'm interested in becoming more versed about what I believe. A friend recently told me that most Catholics today are not as well read as they used to be, and he is right. I am interested in learning more about the ins and outs of faith.
I greatly enjoy music. I used to want to be a singer, but that dream never came to pass, partly because I developed throat problems in college that made it painful to sing for long periods. I used to be a decent flute player but my flute was stolen in college, so I am out of practice.
I enjoy organizing, but find it difficult if I don't have places to put things.
